Set in the village of Iochdar, on the Island of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides, the cottage is only minutes away from the Atlantic Ocean.  There are astonishing beaches within walking distance stretching for miles along the west coast of the islands.  The village of Iochdar is situated on the north end of South Uist, a central base for exploring the Uists, Benbecula, Berneray, Eriskay and Barra.

Surrounded by a profusion of wildlife, the elusive corncrake can be seen and heard from the doorstep from April onwards, the Outer Hebrides really is the ideal escape from urban living.  The Golden eagle, sea eagles, seals and otters as well as a wide variety of native species can be seen here in one of the world’s most pristine environments. It is the perfect location to unwind and enjoy the peaceful and scenic surroundings in this wonderful archipelago.
