Set in the village of Iochdar, on the island of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides, the self catering accommodation is only minutes away from the Atlantic Ocean. There are stunning white sandy beaches within walking distance stretching for 20 miles along the west coast of South Uist. The Hebridean island of South Uist really is the idyllic escape from urban living. The village of Iochdar is located in a quiet crofting community situated on the north end of South Uist, making it the ideal location for exploring North Uist, Benbecula, Grimsay, South Uist, Berneray, Eriskay and Barra.
The cottage is surrounded by a profusion of wildlife, the rasping call of the elusive corncrake can be heard from the doorstep from April onwards. The white tailed eagle, golden eagle, plovers, cornbunting, short eared owls, hen harriers, various wading birds, seals and sea otters as well as a wide variety of native species can be seen in one of the worlds most pristine and protected environments.
